How to make a reservation: To make a reservation for your unit you must contact Volunteer Services at either the Portland or the Salem Offices. Camps Pioneer and Morrison are reserved only at the Salem office. A completed reservation form is required and the date must be available for your unit to reserve it. Reservations are accepted up to a year in advance. Please remember that Council and district dates are reserved first and then units. Reservation forms are available at the offices or online at www.cpcbsa.org. or by email at info@cpcbsa.org. Volunteer Services can be reached at 503-225-5759 in Portland or 503-581-6601 ext. 201 in Salem or by email at info@cpcbsa.org. Tour Permits: Tour permits are required for all unit activities and are available from volunteer services or on the Council web site at www.cpcbsa.org. Tour permits are designed to give information necessary to contact a unit in case of emergency and show due diligence in planning for an outing. Complete with all signatures, tour permits can be faxed to the office at 503-225-5733. A receipt will not be isued but the permit will be filed. Tour permits are also accepted at the receptionist desk and will be processed and returned while you wait. Designated Properties: National policies state that Cub Scouts and Webelos can overnight camp only in Council-designated and operated resident camps. The Cascade Pacific Council designates Camps Clark, Butte Creek, Meriwether and Souter's Mountain as camps that Cub Scouts can use for overnight camping. Camp Ireland, Lewis, Scouter's Mountain, and the Winter Lodges are available for day event use by Cub Scouts. Medical Forms and Accident Insurance: Each member of your unit must have completed medical release form s to participate in unit outdoor activities. These forms are required and checked at council and district events but should be carried with you at each unit activity. Accident insurance, which is available at a very reasonable cost, is the responsibility of the unit or individual. Information on accident insurance can be received from Volunteer Services. Property Use Policies: These policies cover the general use of all properties owned by the Cascade Pacific Council. When you sign up to use a particular property you will receive policies and guidelines specific to that property. our general 'rules of the road' are as follow: All units MUST CHECK-IN and OUT with the Campmasteror Ranger upon arrival and departure. All behicles must remain in designated parking lots. No conifer or brush is to be cut and No standing timber is to be cut without permission. Units RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE will be billed for repair or replacement. NO swimming/boating in any lake is allowed without following Safe Swim Defense and Safety Afloat. NO swimming in moving water is permitted. ALL open flame fires must be at least 10 feet away from any structure. (This includes charcoal.) ALL liquid fuel cans must be left in locked vehicles. ALL garbage is to be taken out of camp. ALL fires must be put out before leaving camp. NO dish washing at water taps. NO UNAUTHORIZED WEAPONS (including pellet guns) are allowed in camp. As stated in BSA guidelines, youth may not use tobacco products and smoking must be done away from all participants. Scouting is a smoke-free environment. Obey all camp speed limits. 5 MPH is the limit on all camp roads. NO PETS are allowed on Council property. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES are allowed on Council property. Be courteous and 'Do a Good Turn' by doing a service project for the camp. |
